In World War II Poland was the first country to be attacked. They were attacked by Germany and Russia on September 1st of 1939. Poland lost six million citizens. In 1941 Denmark was captured by Germany. They fought for a few hours a then surrendered after losing significant amount of troops to the massive Nazi Army. One of the main reasons Hitler invaded Denmark was for easy access to larger countries such as Norway and Sweden. Hitler let Denmark run there government in the manner in which it had always been governed. If Denmark tried to pass a law under Hitlers rule it was looked at by German government officials, before it was allowed to be passed. Poland was not able run their government they did not have the same advantages as Denmark. They were considered a part of Germany. In 1943 Germany took away Denmarks goverment.
